RESIDENTIAL Shoot Tips...
We have put together a PDF list of suggestions to help your client's property photograph at it's best. There are three primary versions below for occupied, vacant, or staged properties. For twilight shoots, please use both the twilight shoot tips along with the primary shoot tips. We ask that you review these in detail with your client and request at a minimum they address the items under the section "Day of the Shoot". Please advise them we will begin shooting immediately upon arrival and all cleaning, staging, moving vehicles, etc. must be completed prior to the appointment time.
exterior Lighting...
Lighting is a huge factor when it comes to quality photography. Interior lighting we can control for the most part by adjusting our camera settings and through editing. Exterior lighting however is a different story, especially with treed lots. With exterior photography, you are completely reliant on the sun's natural light. If your property has several large trees near the home, we recommend checking the forecast and requesting your shoot on a cloudy day or ordering a twilight package. Twilight packages will provide the most optimal lighting for both your daytime and twilight exteriors images as well as interior images.
Below are two examples of how the time of day and weather conditions can impact your exterior images with treed properties. There really is no comparison, so consider this when making your daytime appointments!
