Can’t think of a better way to fight the “Monday Blues” than a sneak peak from Friday’s cake smash session. Rhysse was all smiles and I couldn’t have asked for a happier baby to photograph. Memory Makers Parties & Events set up the most precious woodland creatures teepee setting for this sweet baby girl!
How precious is Jackson at his “Big One” cake smash session! I can’t get enough of this bait/tackle setup. In a day of Pinterest and Instagram, many times I get clients that want a themed setup for their session. I am always transparent with my clients, and let them know that I am more of a lifestyle/candid portrait photographer. So I don’t own all the typical props a child photographer does, nor have plans to get any. However, my clients are more than welcome to bring and setup whatever props they want for their outdoor session. And if they need a little help with a theme/setup, I always refer them to Memory Makers Parties & Events. I mean how adorable is this set up they did, and the client was able to reuse all the props for the party the following weekend!
Disclaimer: No goldfish were harmed or used as a prop, it was edited in 🐠
Wedding and bridal shoots are not something I typically shoot. But I couldn’t refuse when a dear residential client I regularly shoot for asked me to do her wedding. This client is the absolute easiest to work with. Even with her laid back attitude, I put so much stress on myself to capture this special day. Not to mention this is the first time I have spent five hours on my feet for a shoot. So, I have to give mad props to wedding photographers out there!
I love doing family portraits, especially for friends and at unique locations. We shot these family portraits at Salt Lick BBQ. Sjnce I live close by we did a few indoor shots for Jack’s First Christmas!
Nothing is as sweet as this little man and his best friend, Elmo!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
This is my first year to do bluebonnet mini sessions and I can see what all the fuss is about. The bold colors of the bluebonnets makes for such an amazing backdrop. Only downfall is how to plan outdoor mini session in advance during the rainy season. Here are some of my favorites of the season!
I have always wanted to take a shoot at newborn session. But the ideal of handling something so precious and tiny was too intimidating. So when close friends asked if I would do their newborn session, I jumped at the opportunity. That is as long as they did all the posing :) I have a feeling all newborns won’t be as easy as Jack’s session. He just slept, smiled while sleeping, and stretched the whole session. So cute it almost makes me want one… almost!
I keep going back and forth on if I want to do wedding photography. So I decided to take a mock wedding workshop. I still haven’t decided if I want to add wedding to my services, but sure do love how much beauty a wedding day offers. I just feel like not all brides/grooms will be as easy as paid models 😂
I travelled to Alvin, Texas to do a portrait session for relatives. Have to make the most of a traveling session. So, I got to capture three generations during the family portrait session, followed by a Sweet 16 session, and a one year milestone session. This park in Alvin had the best backgrounds for the shoot!
