Woodland Creature Themed Cake Smash for Rhysse

Can’t think of a better way to fight the “Monday Blues” than a sneak peak from Friday’s cake smash session. Rhysse was all smiles and I couldn’t have asked for a happier baby to photograph. Memory Makers Parties & Events set up the most precious woodland creatures teepee setting for this sweet baby girl!

Exciting Announcement: Online Print Store Coming Soon!

I have been thinking about launching an online print store. The store would allow us a place to sell affordable print of our travel photography. Did I say affordable… digital files will be $10 for personal use and prints starting at $20. Now I just have to get to editing and designing the online store. Stay tuned for print shop details…

The Big One Cake Smash (set by Memory Makers Parties & Events)

How precious is Jackson at his “Big One” cake smash session! I can’t get enough of this bait/tackle setup. In a day of Pinterest and Instagram, many times I get clients that want a themed setup for their session. I am always transparent with my clients, and let them know that I am more of a lifestyle/candid portrait photographer. So I don’t own all the typical props a child photographer does, nor have plans to get any. However, my clients are more than welcome to bring and setup whatever props they want for their outdoor session. And if they need a little help with a theme/setup, I always refer them to Memory Makers Parties & Events. I mean how adorable is this set up they did, and the client was able to reuse all the props for the party the following weekend!

Disclaimer: No goldfish were harmed or used as a prop, it was edited in 🐠

Wedding at Horseshoe Bay Resort

Wedding and bridal shoots are not something I typically shoot. But I couldn’t refuse when a dear residential client I regularly shoot for asked me to do her wedding. This client is the absolute easiest to work with. Even with her laid back attitude, I put so much stress on myself to capture this special day. Not to mention this is the first time I have spent five hours on my feet for a shoot. So, I have to give mad props to wedding photographers out there!

Christmas Family Portraits

I love doing family portraits, especially for friends and at unique locations. We shot these family portraits at Salt Lick BBQ. Sjnce I live close by we did a few indoor shots for Jack’s First Christmas!

Nothing is as sweet as this little man and his best friend, Elmo!

Color Palette Goals

Gorgeous designs from a recent shoot with Elite Austin. Love how the green accents compliment the view surrounding the space. No surprise this Travisso beauty was on the Parade of Homes Tour.

Multi-level Remodel in Bee Cave Woods

Camelot Custom Homes has managed to wow me again! Can’t get over this Bee Cave Woods remodel! Love the use of space with all the different levels, and a sports court of every kids dream! Gorgeous interiors by Triple Heart Design and exterior metal work by D-Crain.

Sold in Barton Hills

This new construction in Barton Hills didn’t even last a week on the market with Kim Fry @realtyaustin. Still had to share images of its beautiful design by Root Architecture and construction by Brodie Builders.

Bee Cave Woods Beauty

Gorgeous new construction on Wychwood Drive designed by Root Architecture and built by Brodie Builders in Bee Cave Woods, listed today with Kim Fry at Realty Austin.

Tarrytown Remodel with Casita

This gorgeous Tarrytown remodel by Camelot Custom Homes and FAB Architecture included a second story addition and back casita. Such a beautiful design and use of space out back. The problem with photographing residential spaces is you come home wanting new things for your own home. I am obsessed with this front door and Nicole has to have the tree swing. Her want is a little more practical than mine :)

That's a Wrap... on Bluebonnet Minis!

This is my first year to do bluebonnet mini sessions and I can see what all the fuss is about. The bold colors of the bluebonnets makes for such an amazing backdrop. Only downfall is how to plan outdoor mini session in advance during the rainy season. Here are some of my favorites of the season!

Newborn Session for Jack

I have always wanted to take a shoot at newborn session. But the ideal of handling something so precious and tiny was too intimidating. So when close friends asked if I would do their newborn session, I jumped at the opportunity. That is as long as they did all the posing :) I have a feeling all newborns won’t be as easy as Jack’s session. He just slept, smiled while sleeping, and stretched the whole session. So cute it almost makes me want one… almost!

Mock Wedding Workshop

I keep going back and forth on if I want to do wedding photography. So I decided to take a mock wedding workshop. I still haven’t decided if I want to add wedding to my services, but sure do love how much beauty a wedding day offers. I just feel like not all brides/grooms will be as easy as paid models 😂

Three Generations and a Sweet 16 Session!

I travelled to Alvin, Texas to do a portrait session for relatives. Have to make the most of a traveling session. So, I got to capture three generations during the family portrait session, followed by a Sweet 16 session, and a one year milestone session. This park in Alvin had the best backgrounds for the shoot!

Portfolio Shoots For Elite Austin

This month we had several portfolio shoots with an Austin-based luxury staging company, Elite Austin. We absolutely love working on their shoots and trying to capture the talent of their designers. Portfolio shoots are especially enjoyable for us, because we get to be a little more artistic. Interior designer shoots focus on the quality of the work and furnishings rather than selling the home. Below are some of our favorite images from their July shoots.

White Interior Walls Make a Great Blank Canvas

We had a busy month but I wanted to make sure I posted a blog of some of our favorite June shoots. White interior walls really provide a blank canvas to showcase these property.

Sleek and Modern in 78704

This sleek 78704 home will not last long on the market. The u-shaped design, white walls, and several sets of sliding doors and windows brings the outdoors in throughout the first floor. New to the market this week, listed by Kim Fry at Realty Austin.

700-acre Gouldbusk Retreat

This was definitely our largest shoot yet including 700+ acres, four residences, pool, fire pits, runway, hanger, and more. This is a beautiful property in Gouldbusk, Texas listed with Wade Giles and Jim Hardie at Moreland Properties.

Bungalow in Travis Heights

One of our shoots this week included a beautiful bungalow in Travis Heights. This home is recently renovated and full of character and charm. It will be available soon as a short-term rental with Ashley Pigg at Den STR.

Modern Construction in 78704

Another beautiful new construction home listed with Kim Fry at Realty Austin. This home was sold before it ever went on the market, but we still managed to capture some great pictures of this beautiful space.
