Thanks for visiting our photography page. Let me first start by introducing myself, I am Monica Herrera, the owner of Spaces & Faces Photography. Photography was always a hobby for both my wife, Nicole, and I. One of our favorite things to do while living in Louisiana was to walk around the French Quarter and photograph the various sites.
We are both originally from the Houston area and wanted to move back to Texas to be closer to family. Our hobby was taken to the next level when moving to Austin in January 2015. There was so much to capture with the landscape, culture, and architecture. We both decided to take photography classes at the University of Texas and offer our services professionally. Spaces & Faces Photography was created in February 2016 as a side job for Nicole and I. With Nicole's ten years in the real estate industry and my love for interior design, we chose to initially specialize in real estate photography. Mid-2016 Nicole joined the Realty Austin team as a contract coordinator and quickly became too busy for photography. Meanwhile, I was still employed full time as an environmental scientist. The business continued to grow and a decision had to be made. After nine years with the same firm, I decided to take the leap and become a full time photographer in January 2017 and expanded to offer portrait and commercial photography services.
After relocating to Driftwood, Texas in early 2018, you can now find us exploring all the Texas Hill Country has to offer. I am also excited to merge my love for travel and decorating into the photography business, and will start offering online prints late 2018. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any photography inquiries.
